Information on the passage of vessels through the Čiovo Bridge Area

The drawbridge opens during regular time periods:

• May 15 - September 15: from 6 AM to 7 AM Wednesday and Sunday
• Year long: from 9 AM to 10 AM on the 15th of each month

The drawbridge may open on demand, on specific time periods:

The request for the deck opening must be received at least 48 hours before the intended passage. The request should be submitted in writing to the port authority Lučka kapetanija Split (e-mail: split.pomorskipromet@pomorstvo.hr), and must be confirmed in phone contact with the authority (phone 021/362–436).

The request may be made by an owner of a vessel or a shipping company, or a master/captain of a boat/yacht or a skipper. It shall contain the following information:

• contact details for person(s) authorized for navigation of the vessel;
• contact details for the requesting person (if different from the navigator);
• the name of the vessel, the call sign, the length/width/height of the vessel;
• date and time of passage.
